My ADHD Story
By Vicky Heneghan | Published on March 18, 2021 | 5 Minute Read
Hi my name is Vicky. I was diagnosed with ADHD at the age of 28. I struggled all my life with learning. Made very little friends. I got poor grades in school due to lack of a diagnosis. From the age of 22 I finally felt confident enough to search for answers. It took 6 years of going back and forth to many GPs and seeing many specialists before finally getting an answer at 28. I am now 30 years old and currently struggling to find work. I often feel discriminated against due to my diagnosis and I get very disheartened with all the rejection emails from employers. I hope to find employment soon.
